How To Make Steak Quesadillas

Whenever I think of the perfect main dish to accompany my dishes, the first dish that comes to my mind is Steak Quesadilla!!!
Steak Quesadillas are the perfect thing to curb your cravings for Mexican food anytime, packed with flavors of beef taco seasoning, and a lot of cheese melted. They are easy to prepare, and you can serve them with different kinds of sauces.
For making delicious quesadillas with steak, you need sirloin or skirt steak, onion, Mozzarella, and Monterey jack cheese, medium tortilla bread the size that suits you or that you have available, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. For seasoning, you need salt, black pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. All these ingredients come together in an irresistible combination, if you like to add other endings, you can do it, like parsley or any kind of spice you like, but be careful not to overdo it, so as not to spoil the original taste of the soup. And be sure that the whole family will enjoy its taste, they will ask you to re-cook them more than once a week.
Here’s the secret behind a perfect recipe, it is the use of natural olive oil during cooking, it leaves an aftertaste of another kind and plays a wonderful role in the texture of the recipe!! You can substitute it if you don’t like its taste, but don’t forget how great it is!!!

Ingredients:

For quesadillas:

1 pound sirloin or skirt steak.

2 tsp. of kosher salt.

1 tsp of onion powder.

1 tsp. of black pepper.

Half a tsp. of ground cumin.

Half a tsp. of garlic powder.

Two tbsp. olive of oil, divided.

1 medium onion cut into slices.

2 1/2 cups of grated mozzarella cheese.

2 1/2 cups of grated Monterey jack cheese.

10 medium flour tortillas (8-inch).

For serving optional:

Salsa, guacamole and sour cream.

Instructions:

Step 1

To start, heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Pat the steak dries on both sides with paper towels, while the skillet is heating. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, onion powder, cumin, and the garlic powder.

Step 2

Then, sprinkle seasoning evenly on both sides of steak, join 1 1/2 tbsp. of olive oil to your skillet and add the steak.

Step 3

After that, cook on each side for 4 to 8 minutes, depending on the thickness of steak.

Step 4

Next, remove the steak from the pan, and to let it rest, place it on a cutting board while the meat is resting, add half a tbsp. of olive oil to the pan.

Step 5

Then add chopped onion and cook, with stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes, until it becomes softened.

Step 6

After that, transfer the onions to a bowl and carefully wipe the inside of the skillet with some paper towels until it becomes clean.

Step 7

Then, uncover the steak and cut it into small pieces or thin slices if desired, against the grain at an angle, and blend shredded mozzarella with Monterey jack cheese in a medium bowl.

Step 8

Join the quesadillas by adding half a cup of shredded cheese to the bottom of one tortilla, next, some steak slices, onions, then half a cup of grated cheese and sprinkle with a little salt, then top everything with another tortilla.

Step 9

Over medium heat, put the clean frying pan, and carefully transfer the quesadilla to it using a spatula.

Step 10

For about 1 to 2 minutes, cook the quesadillas (until the bottom becomes golden-brown), and fast turn the quesadilla over and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, until golden brown and all of the cheese has melted.

Step 11

Assemble and cook the remaining quesadillas. Serve immediately as is, or cut the quesadillas into fourths. Serve with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
Finally, assemble and cook the leftover quesadillas, the serve as is immediately (or you can cut them into quarters).

Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, and enjoy it!!
