The key to making perfect smothered pork chops with red-eye gravy is to start with high-quality ingredients. Choose thick, bone-in pork chops that are well-marbled and have a good amount of fat. This will ensure that the pork chops stay juicy and tender as they cook. The spices used in the dish can vary depending on personal taste, but a classic blend of garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper will give the pork chops a flavorful kick.

Step 6:

Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon some of the red-eye gravy over them. Cover the skillet with a lid or foil and transfer to the preheated oven.
