INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

2 Lbs.Of beef chuck roast; cut into bite-sized pieces.

1 Tbsp.Of vegetable oil.

1 medium onion, chopped.

4 cloves of garlic; minced.

4 Cups.Of beef broth.

2 Tsp.Of Worcestershire sauce.

1 Tsp.Of dried thyme.

1 Tsp.Of dried rosemary.

1/2 Tsp.Of salt.

1/2 Tsp.Of black pepper.

1 bay leaf.

A 12-oz Pkg.Of egg noodles.

1/4 Cup.Of all-purpose flour

1/4 Cup.Of water.

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Warm the vegetable oil in a big Dutch oven or other pot with a heavy bottom by heating it over medium-high heat. When all of the beef pieces have been browned on all sides, remove them from the pan. Place the steak that has been browned on a platter and put it aside.

2nd Step

Put the chopped onion and garlic that have been minced into the same saucepan. Cook for around three to four minutes, moving the pan regularly, until the onion is tender and the garlic has developed its characteristic aroma.

3rd Step

In a large pot, bring the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and black pepper to a simmer. Mix everything together well with a stir, then bring it to a boil.

4th Step

After the beef has browned, turn the heat down to low and add it back into the pot. When the beef is done, it should be very tender and easy to shred, so cover the pot with the lid and let the mixture simmer on low heat for two to three hours, stirring it occasionally.

5th Step

Cook the egg noodles according to the directions on the box until they reach an “al dente” consistency about 30 minutes before the meat is finished cooking. The noodles should be drained and kept aside.

6th Step

Mix the water and flour in a low-volume bowl with a whisk until the mixture is smooth. While stirring continually, gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the meat mixture. Continue this process until the broth has reached the desired consistency.

7th Step

Once the egg noodles are done cooking, toss them into the pot with the beef and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to continue to simmer for a few more minutes until the noodles have reached the desired temperature. Serve hot, and if wanted, garnish with chopped fresh parsley that has been chopped fresh.
