INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:

1 pound.Of ground beef.

1 chopped onion.

3 cloves garlic – minced.

1 28-ounces can diced tomatoes.

1 28-ounces can tomato sauce.

4 cups.Of beef broth.

2 Tsp.Of Italian seasoning.

1/4 Tsp.Of red pepper flakes

Salt and black pepper, to taste

8-ounces uncooked fusilli pasta.

1 Cup.Of ricotta cheese

1/2 Cup.Of shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 Cup.Of grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil, chopped (optional)

PREPARATION:

1st Step:

Prepare medium-high heat in a Dutch oven or other big saucepan. After adding the ground beef, heat it while breaking it up with a wooden spoon until it is browned all the way through and cooked completely.

2nd Step:

When the onion has become tender, add it to the saucepan along with the garlic that has been minced and continue to simmer for another two to three minutes.

3rd Step:

To the saucepan, add the diced tomatoes with no more liquid, the tomato sauce, the beef broth, the Italian seasoning, the red pepper flakes, the salt, and the black pepper. To mix, give it a good stir. Bring the soup to a boil, then immediately turn the heat down to a low setting and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

4th Step:

After the fusilli pasta has been added to the saucepan, make sure it is well-mixed. Keep the heat on low and simmer for a further 10–12 minutes, or until the pasta reaches the “al dente” stage of cooking.

5th Step:

In another bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. To blend, give it a good stir.

6th Step:

After the pasta has reached the desired doneness, remove it from the fire and then stir in the cheese mixture. Maintaining a consistent stir until the cheese has melted and the soup has reached a creamy consistency. If preferred, fresh chopped basil may be added as a garnish to the hot soup before serving.
